Immersive Projection Mapping

GEMA - Digital and Tech Agency develops immersive and interactive experiences for events, brand activations and museums.

They approached me with a challenge: to create over 30 original illustrations for a large-scale immersive animated projection mapping installation, set inside a specially designed container. The project visualizes the evolving landscape of Óbidos, Portugal, from 10,000 BC to the present day.

Each illustration was meticulously crafted with the support and consultation of historians, ensuring a visually stunning and historically accurate journey through millennia of change. From prehistoric settlements to medieval fortifications and modern-day life, the drawings were designed to seamlessly transition, immersing visitors in the rich and layered history of this iconic portuguese region.
